Screening Ultrasound

SDB Ultrasound Services offers non-invasive screening ultrasound exams designed to detect early signs of disease before symptoms appear. These preventative screenings are quick, safe, and can provide peace of mind or help guide early medical intervention.

*No prescription or referral from a doctor is required

Available Screening Exams:

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening – $165
Evaluates the abdominal aorta for dangerous bulges or aneurysms that can lead to rupture.

Carotid Artery Screening – $220
Assesses blood flow in the carotid arteries to detect plaque buildup that could increase stroke risk.

Breast Screening Ultrasound – $230
Ideal for women with dense breast tissue or as a supplemental tool to mammography to detect lumps or cysts.

Lower Extremity Arterial Doppler – $240
Doppler ultrasound of the leg arteries to check for narrowing or blockages that affect circulation.

Thyroid Screening – $200
Detects nodules, cysts, or thyroid enlargement before symptoms arise.

Kidney and Bladder Screening – $180
Evaluates kidney size, shape, and detects potential stones or urinary retention.

Gallbladder/Liver – $185
Abdominal ultrasound focused on evaluating the gallbladder and liver, useful for identifying gallstones, inflammation, fatty liver, or other hepatic abnormalities.

Preventive Pelvic – $210
A key exam for taking care of your reproductive health. It evaluates the uterus, ovaries, and other pelvic organs, helping to detect infections, cysts, tumors, or cervical cancer early.

*A Breast Ultrasound does not replace a mammogram. At SDB Ultrasound Services, we encourage you to take every step possible to protect your health. While ultrasound can detect many things that mammography may miss, mammography can pick up microcalcifications that ultrasound cannot. Both Mammography and Ultrasound are powerful when used together, not in place of one another.

Who Should Consider Screening?

These exams are recommended for individuals with risk factors such as:

  • Family history of vascular disease or aneurysm.
  • History of smoking or high blood pressure.
  • Dense breast tissue.
  • Diabetes, high cholesterol, or circulation issues.
  • General wellness or peace of mind.

Remember: Early Detection Saves Lives

All exams are performed by a registered sonographer and interpreted by a board-certified radiologist. Our goal is to provide you and your physician with clear, accurate results—before symptoms start.
